Patrick Dengate​​

Patrick Dengate was born in 1960, and has been making pictures since he was old enough to hold a pencil. After first studying science, he then studied art and earned a BFA from Wayne State University in Detroit. Since 1984, Patrick has been making woodcut prints and his collage techniques utilize papers and images from woodcuts, combining patterns of colored inks printed over colored papers. His work has been included in both private and public collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Patrick is also a community volunteer and a member of the Temagami 22, a group of North American artists who gathered in Ontario in 1997 to help preserve the Temagami wilderness. He lives with his family in Michigan. Patrick works with Blue Forge Press.​​​​​​​
